Msi monitor cpu gpu temps3/24/2024 ![]() Hope i was able to help, lemme know if you tried and any of these helped you. If the speeds are still up, set the settings to 98%and it ll do the trick for sure. You can now check your clock speeds using HWinfo Monitor. in the Set Minimum Processor State > Plugged In : 99%, Maximum Processor State > Battery : 99%, Maximum Processor State > Plugged In : 99%. Head on down to the bottom and you ll see the option for Processor State Management. A new window will appear with all sort of settings. Select its Change Plan Settings > Change Advanced Power Settings. To turn off turbo boost, head over to Power Options in control panel and select a Power Plan you would like to act as Turbo Boost Off profile. This ll not only lower your temps to mid 70s but also reduce fan noise. 6 core processor on stock speeds is pretty decent and only drops 5-10 % fps in games, which are GPU intensive. If you cant repaste for some reason or have to wait, try turning off Turbo Boost on your CPU to lower your temps and run on Stock Speeds. This laptop is a good investment, dont worry. If it says GPU 1 - 3D means the Nvidia GPU or whichever other GPU you are using. There if it says GPU 0 - 3D, means your application is running on Intel GPU. Open it and head to Processes Tab, right click the column names and select GPU engine if its already not showing when you expand the task manager. If you are not using a GSYNC laptop, it is automatically using Intel GPU when not gaming, so you dont need to worry about that.Possibly when you reset, the brightness was set to OFF in the setting. Head in and in the SYSTEM TUNER>Current profile, you ll see the option for USB Lighting, with its effects and brightness level as well. The USB LED configuration is controlled from the MSI DRAGON CENTER. For you LED issue, i also have the same lighting.Solution to your problem is not cranking up your fans, which ll only increase noise, but to GET YOUR CPU GPU REPASTED with GOOD PASTE. i had to Undervolt it by -190mV to get it to 92'C at max which is still high. my temps easily reach 98'C as well with full blast cooler boost on. Basically the thermal pasting MSI is using is total. The GE63 is the most I ever paid for a computer so I'm trying to make sure it doesn't die any time soon. My last two laptops were Asus ROG series one (a G74SX and then G751JL), which were completely different than this GE63. Third, is there a way to enable or verify that the integrated IntelHD GPU is being used when not gaming? I found a lot of topics noting how to disable this but none noting how to enable/verify it's enabled? I think it's a neat feature to save power/reduce heat (hot enough here as it is). But it seems doing so did something with the USB LED lights, which used to glow red (pretty cool!), but they no longer work and I was wondering if there's a way to fix that? The keyboard and cover lights work fine. ![]() Second, when I bought it, the first thing I did was reset Windows to make sure everything was at default and no shady software was installed that I didn't know about. The GPU seems fine (I think), 44C idle and 72C load. At idle, it hovers around 48C, which seems ok but I would think it would be lower. I tried to find normal operating temperatures of the i7 9750h but most results seem to be for the 8750h. I'm using HW monitor to check temps, if that matters. Is that normal? I feel like it's not because it seems pretty clear that once it hits that temp, the CPU is throttled back so it doesn't go over. Under load (as in, within 10 minutes of Witcher 3 running at 1080p with mixed ultra/high settings) it hits 100C even though the fans are going full blast. I hope I'm posting this in the right forum but I recently purchased a GE63 Raider RGB 9SE and this is my first time with an MSI laptop and my first new laptop in 4 years and had few questions.įirst, I was wondering about the CPU temp.
